100% Solids Barrier Linings for Seawater Corrosion and Flow Driven Erosion | Durapol

100% solids barrier linings for seawater corrosion and flow driven erosion, plus ultra high chemical resistance in full immersion.

DuraPol is a range of 100% solids protective coatings used when assets face continuous seawater service and high wear mechanisms such as turbulence, cavitation and abrasion. Within the marine and industrial portfolio, HTW Glassflake is selected for aqueous corrosion protection with strong mechanical durability in fast flowing seawater and wet service.

Key Advantages:

Glassflake Barrier Structure:
Creates a dense, winding path for water and salts, such that seawater is delayed in contacting the substrate (steel or concrete), improving corrosion resistance in continuous wet service.

100% Solids and Self Priming:
Builds a high film thickness without solvent loss and can be applied as a self priming system, reducing coat complexity and helping achieve a durable barrier with fewer steps.

High Build Protection in Fewer Coats:
Dry film thickness of 500 to 2000 microns reduces labour and shutdown time compared with multi coat conventional systems.

Resists Erosion Mechanisms in Seawater Systems:
Designed to handle turbulent flow, cavitation and particulate impact, which reduces underfilm damage and premature coating breakdown in high velocity services
