Underwater Applied Coatings for Corrosion Protection | Alocit Systems

Solvent-free epoxy finish for wet, oily and underwater steel and concrete

Alocit 28.15 is a unique, high-performance epoxy system engineered to bond directly onto damp, wet, oily, underwater substrates. This two-component system is designed for marine and port assets that cannot be kept dry and pristine prior to coating offering a practical route to achieve corrosion control in splash-zone and submerged areas where typical epoxies may fail due to adhesion. It is also used for protection against aggressive marine corrosion mechanisms including Accelerated Low Water Corrosion (ALWC) while delivering an abrasion-resistant finish with broad resistance to seawater, oils and petroleum.

Key Advantages:

Surface Tolerance
Adheres to wet, damp, oily or salty steel substrates without the need for full drying. This coating system is suitable for pile rehabilitation, underwater steel repairs and jetty protection.

100% Solids, Solvent-Free, Environmentally Safer
Contains no solvents or heavy metals, reducing environmental risk and supporting safe application in sensitive marine environments.

Long-Term Protection
Field applications have demonstrated durability over 10+ years, including submerged piles, offshore structures and marine hulls while withstanding pressure-washing and marine fouling without failure.

Flexible Application Methods
Can be applied by brush or with specialised airless equipment underwater using Alocit’s round brush adaptor, even in cold or tropical waters.

Self-Priming Capabilities
Functions as a standalone system or with Alocit 28.14 primer. Offers a durable, abrasion-resistant finish that simplifies long-term maintenance.
