Film Galvanising Protection and Repair System for HDG Structures | Zinga
96% zinc rich coating that restores and protects galvanic protection on pylons, poles and substation steelworks in severe atmospheric exposure
ZINGA is a zinc rich film galvanising system used to protect and rehabilitate electricity transmission and distribution steel, particularly where ageing hot dip galvanising and complex bolted geometry create recurring corrosion points. It is applied as a repair system to restore zinc based protection on high value structures such as high tension pylons, utility poles and substation steelwork, helping to reduce corrosion related maintenance, unplanned remediation and structural risk in aggressive environments.
Key Advantages:
Standard Repair System for HDG Transmission Structures: Enables rehabilitation of ageing hot dip galvanised towers, restoring zinc based protection and supporting utility maintenance programmes at scale. See:
Zinc Rich Film Galvanising Mechanism: Provides active galvanic protection through a sacrificial zinc layer, improving tolerance to localised coating damage and reducing corrosion creep at defects.
Practical for Complex Geometry and Interfaces: Suited to lattice members, bolts, lap joints and plate interfaces where moisture retention accelerates corrosion and where conventional paint systems struggle to protect crevices consistently.
System Options for Above Ground and Below Grade Exposure: Allows selection of ZINGA as a stand alone repair system above ground, with ZINGATARFREE as a compatible option for underground sections requiring enhanced chemical and soil resistance.
Supports Targeted Remediation of Severely Degraded Members: Applicable to blasted replacement profiles and localised repairs, enabling continued service of structures where sections have suffered extensive loss and require controlled rehabilitation.
