Chemical and Food Grade Epoxy Flooring | Sauereisen
Chemical-resistant epoxy flooring and polymer concrete systems for acids, CIP chemicals and thermal shock
Sauereisen provides purpose-built Chemical & Food Grade resin technologies that protect concrete and steel surfaces in food and beverage processing plants from the elements such as food acids, fats/oils, aggressive CIP/cleaning processes, traffic and thermal cycling (hot water washdowns, chilled rooms). By using 100% solids, dense resin binders and chemically resistant linings to form a cleanable monolithic barrier. These systems reduce substrate attack, minimise under-film degradation and promote ease of maintenance in the long term.
Key Advantages:
Chemical Resistance (Food Acids, Fats/Oils, Cleaning Solutions): Systems are designed to resist food by-products and aggressive cleaning regimes where conventional concrete and coating systems may soften, stain or deteriorate.
Thermal Shock & Temperature Cycling Tolerance: Aggregate-filled epoxy flooring options help manage rapid temperature changes that lead to cracking and debonding.
100% Solids Resin Technology (No Solvent Evaporation Pathway): This composition reduce solvent-related porosity and are suited for enclosed production areas where odour and downtime are critical.
High-Build Barrier Protection (Concrete & Steel Substrates): Epoxy constituents in the formulation provide a dense monolithic layer to isolate the substrate from corrosive exposure and simplify cleaning.
